The Write School Online exists to help students become clear, confident writers—without the overwhelm.
I’m Melissa, an English teacher, IEW-trained instructor, curriculum creator, and the founder of The Write School Online. As a homeschool mom, co-op teacher, and virtual instructor, I saw one thing clearly: students succeed when writing is taught with structure, encouragement, and purpose.
That’s why my classes follow the time-tested methods of the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), a program built around teaching students how to write through structure and style, not guesswork.
Whether your child is a reluctant writer or ready to level up, I provide step-by-step instruction, live feedback, and a warm, supportive environment where every student can thrive.
In addition to classes, I create printable writing resources, IEW-aligned tools, and literature-based lessons loved by homeschool families, teachers, and tutors around the world.
